| Honoring Patricia Grove as the 2013 Ohio Middle Level Educator of the Year. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Patricia Grove on being named the 2013 Ohio Middle Level Educator of the Year by the Ohio Middle Level Association; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Patricia Grove can be justly proud, for she has been recognized for her exceptional skill, commitment, and professionalism. Commencing her tenure as a teacher at Anderson High School in 1978, she joined the staff of Nagel Middle School as a reading specialist, and she has most recently served as an eighth-grade social studies teacher. Over the years, she has also held such posts as team leader, department chair, advisor and photographer for the yearbook, coordinator for the Geography Bee, and member of various school and district level committees. Clearly, she has striven to channel the natural energy and curiosity of students into meaningful inquiry, thereby helping them to gain a better understanding of the world around them, and by presenting lessons in an interesting and comprehensible manner, she has consistently inspired them to excel; and |
| WHEREAS, Instrumental in Nagel Middle School obtaining the designation of a national and state School to Watch, Patricia Grove has made many significant contributions to improving the quality of life in our society. Indeed, her noteworthy record of achievement shows the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the community, and we applaud her on her fine work; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her career in the field of education, Patricia Grove has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped to nurture within them a desire for excellence. Her unstinting contributions of time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy to students and teachers alike have earned her the respect and appreciation of everyone with whom she has been associated, and her work stands as the hallmark of concerned and responsible citizenship; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Patricia Grove as the 2013 Ohio Middle Level Educator of the Year and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Patricia Grove. |
