| Honoring the Darke County Special Olympics Dawgs basketball team as the 2013 Division III State Champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Darke County Special Olympics Dawgs basketball team on winning the 2013 Division III State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the Darke County Special Olympics Dawgs basketball team is an excellent athlete, combining personal ability and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, the players have worked diligently during their participation in basketball, and consequently, they won this year's Division III State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Darke County Special Olympics Dawgs basketball team have consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have gained them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments and leadership of the Darke County Special Olympics Dawgs basketball team, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on the members but also on their families, the community, and their coaches. The responsibility and experience the players have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Darke County Special Olympics Dawgs basketball team for exemplary achievement and wish its members and coaches continued success in their future endeavors; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Darke County Special Olympics Dawgs basketball team. |
