| Honoring the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team on winning the 2013 Division II State Championship. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team as the 2013 Division II State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team is an excellent young athlete, and Coach Dave Ferguson has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding this squad to victory. This season, the Eagles bested the team from Worthington Kilbourne High School by a score of 11-10 to win the Division II State Championship. The unwavering commitment of the players and their coach has earned them this prestigious honor, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team have emerged as winners both in and out of athletic competition. Dave Ferguson's skill as a coach is reflected in their outstanding success, and due largely to his tireless efforts, he has earned the respect and admiration of all who know him; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team as the 2013 Division II State Champion and salute all those who contributed to the success of this fine team; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team. |
