| Honoring Joseph Hallett on his retirement. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Joseph Hallett on retiring as the senior editor at The Columbus Dispatch; and |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Hallett is, indeed, to be acknowledged for his exemplary contributions to the field of journalism. A reporter, Sunday columnist, chief political writer, and senior editor at The Columbus Dispatch, he has brought to his positions a wealth of experience gained as an editor with the Fulton County Expositor and a reporter and bureau chief with The Blade, and his dedication to excellence has earned him several accolades; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Joseph Hallett has clearly shown the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the world around him. Never content to take a passive role in life, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, and he is truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of diligent people such as Joseph Hallett that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, he has striven to serve his fellow citizens to the best of his ability, and we applaud him on his fine work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Joseph Hallett on the occasion of his retirement and extend best wishes for health and happiness in the years to come; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Joseph Hallett. |
