| Honoring Arcadia High School on being selected as a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Arcadia High School on being named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education; and |
| WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is, indeed, a fitting tribute to Arcadia High School, for it was one of six high schools in the State of Ohio to be designated as a National Blue Ribbon School. Honoring elementary and secondary schools in alternate years, the Blue Ribbon Schools Program identifies and nationally recognizes both public and private schools for their excellence in teaching and instruction, student success, leadership, and parental involvement, and selection for this accolade is an achievement of which everyone at AHS can be proud; and |
| WHEREAS, Schools provide young people with much more than basic educational skills. Through involvement in the day-to-day events at school as well as in school-sponsored extracurricular activities, students learn the important lessons of cooperation, self-discipline, perseverance, and diligence that will benefit them throughout their lives. At Arcadia High School, students are offered a vast array of educational opportunities, and we commend the faculty, administration, and staff whose hard work and dedication have enabled this institution to attain its exemplary status; and |
| WHEREAS, We commend the faculty, administration, and staff whose hard work and dedication have enabled the school to attain its remarkable status. These fine professionals have earned the respect and gratitude of the community, and they are truly deserving of admiration; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Arcadia High School as a National Blue Ribbon School and, in so doing, pay tribute to an outstanding educational facility; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Arcadia High School. |
