| Honoring Sinclair Community College on receiving a 2014 Exemplary CEO and Board Award of Excellence. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Sinclair Community College on being presented with an Exemplary Chief Executive Officer and Board Award of Excellence by the American Association of Community Colleges, April 7, 2014; and |
| WHEREAS, Sinclair Community College is deserving of praise for the exemplary efforts it has displayed in exceeding the highest standards of educational excellence. This fine institution is only the second college to receive an Exemplary Chief Executive Officer and Board Award of Excellence from the American Association of Community Colleges, and we are certain that in the years to come, the institution will continue to encourage the same unwavering dedication to collaboration between its board and its chief executive officer for which it has become known; and |
| WHEREAS, The faculty, staff, and administration of Sinclair Community College, under the skillful direction of President and Chief Executive Officer Steven Johnson and the members of its board of trustees, including its chair, Bernard Wright, have worked diligently to offer students a well-balanced curriculum that seeks to develop their academic, emotional, and social capabilities. These fine professionals have earned the respect and gratitude of the community, and they are truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Education is vital to our nation's continued economic and social well-being, and as the need for global learning and understanding increases, so do the demands placed upon our system of education. Sinclair Community College has consistently and effectively met these demands, and we are certain that the college's board, administrators, and teachers will maintain their unfaltering dedication to helping students become capable and well-rounded individuals; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute Sinclair Community College on its recent honor and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sinclair Community College. |
