A RESOLUTION
Honoring Shane Robinson on receiving a Carnegie Medal.

       WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Shane Robinson on being awarded a Carnegie Medal by the Carnegie Hero Fund; and

       WHEREAS, Shane Robinson is a truly remarkable individual, combining humanitarian concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic force in the community. Never content to take a passive role in life, he rushed to the aid of two motorists, Alyssa Hovinetz and Jeffrey Burgos, and he successfully extricated them from their burning vehicle. Through his decisive leadership, he has certainly distinguished himself as a conscientious man; and

       WHEREAS, Thanks to Shane Robinson's extraordinary vigilance and valor, two people are alive who otherwise might not be, and the noble spirit and strength of character that he exhibited under crisis conditions are truly heartening to recall. In risking his life to help others, he has clearly shown a sincere commitment to the highest ideals of community service; and

       WHEREAS, Shane Robinson is certainly to be applauded for his valiant actions. Through his tremendous efforts, he has set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship, and his heroism has been an inspiration to many; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Shane Robinson on his Carnegie Medal and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Shane Robinson.
