| Honoring Ryan Adams for winning two Division II State Championships in track and field. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Ryan Adams on placing first in the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs at the 2014 Division II State Track and Field Championships; and |
| WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Ryan Adams is deserving of acknowledgement for his exemplary accomplishments as a runner at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. An exceptional athlete, he won first place in the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs at this year's Division II State Track and Field Championships, and his noteworthy record of personal accomplishment stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and |
| WHEREAS, Through his participation in sports, Ryan Adams has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an example worthy of the highest praise; and |
| WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Ryan Adams has certainly inspired his teammates, thrilled his fans, gained the respect of his opponents, and made his coaches and family very proud; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Ryan Adams on his success in track and field and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further |
