| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service on being named the 2014 Ohio Volunteer Fire Department of the Year by the Firefighter and Fire Safety Inspector Training Committee and the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of Emergency Medical Services; and |
| WHEREAS, This prestigious distinction is, indeed, a fitting tribute to the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department and EMS for acts above and beyond its basic duties and responsibilities, exemplifying the finest traditions of the fire service. The department has achieved a remarkable record of service to local citizens, developing an educational program to improve fire training, and it is worthy of recognition; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments of the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department and EMS are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the agency itself but also on its dedicated members and on the entire community. Its exemplary work serves as a hallmark for other departments to emulate; and |
| WHEREAS, Firefighting is a noble but dangerous profession, and the residents of the community can be eternally grateful for the swift and capable efforts provided by the members of the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department and EMS. They have amply demonstrated sound judgment, impeccable integrity, and confident leadership that have been a source of inspiration for others; therefore be it |
