| Honoring the Coldwater High School girls bowling team on winning the 2013 State Championship. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Coldwater High School girls bowling team as the 2013 State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Coldwater High School girls bowling team are excellent young athletes, and they have established themselves as a truly exceptional squad. This season, the Cavaliers overcame a strong Hubbard squad 3-2 to claim the State Championship, their second consecutive title, and for their unwavering commitment, the students and coach are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Coach Rick Hartings has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Coldwater High School girls bowling team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad's outstanding accomplishment. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the members have established themselves as winners, both in and out of athletic competition, and he has earned the respect and admiration of all who know him; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Coldwater High School girls bowling team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Coldwater High School girls bowling team for exemplary achievement and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Coldwater High School girls bowling team. |
