A BILL

To amend section 3301.171 of the Revised Code to eliminate the fifty-dollar limit on the course fee that a board of education may charge a pupil enrolled in a driver education course.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 3301.171 of the Revised Code be amended to read as follows:

Sec. 3301.171. A board of education that makes available a driver education course pursuant to section 3301.17 of the Revised Code may require pupils enrolled in the course to pay a course fee not to exceed the ~~lesser of fifty dollars, or the~~ actual cost per pupil of providing driver education less the state driver education reimbursement per pupil.

Section 2. That existing section 3301.171 of the Revised Code is hereby repealed.
