A BILL
To amend section 3301.171 of the Revised Code to eliminate the fifty-dollar
limit on the course fee that a board of education may charge a pupil enrolled
in a driver education course.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 3301.171 of the Revised Code be amended to read as
follows:
Sec. 3301.171. A board of education that makes available a driver education
course pursuant to section 3301.17 of the Revised Code may require pupils
enrolled in the course to pay a course fee not to exceed the lesser of
fifty
dollars, or the actual cost per pupil of providing driver education less
the
state driver education reimbursement per pupil.
Section 2. That existing section 3301.171 of the Revised Code is hereby
repealed.
