A BILL
To amend section 955.41 of the Revised Code to increase the cap on the amount
of reimbursement that a person may receive for treatment of a rabies bite.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 955.41 of the Revised Code be amended to read as
follows:
Sec. 955.41. The board of county commissioners, not later than the third
regular meeting after it is presented with the account provided for by section
955.42 of the Revised Code, shall examine such account, and, if found in whole
or part correct and just, shall order the payment in whole or in part to the
patient and to the physician who rendered such treatment, in accordance with
their respective claims. A person shall not receive for one injury a sum
exceeding two ONE THOUSAND FIVE hundred dollars.
Section 2. That existing section 955.41 of the Revised Code is hereby
repealed.
