To enact section 5.2232 of the Revised Code to designate March as "Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month."
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio:
SECTION 1. That section 5.2232 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 5.2232. The month of March is designated as "Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month" to enhance understanding of the disease, including its causes and health effects, and to support and encourage education programs and research to develop effective therapies and find a cure.
SECTION 2. It is the intent of the General Assembly in enacting section 5.2232 of the Revised Code to increase public awareness and understanding of multiple sclerosis in order to help serve the thousands of Ohioans and their families affected by the disease.
