A BILL
To enact section 5.2231 of the Revised Code to designate September 22 as "Emancipation Day."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 5.2231 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows: Sec. 5.2231. The twenty-second day of September shall be designated as "Emancipation Day," in honor of the anniversary of the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln on September 22, 1862. |
