BILL SUMMARY

·        Authorizes the conveyance of state-owned real estate located in Wood County to the Board of Trustees of Lake Township.

CONTENT AND OPERATION

The bill authorizes the Governor to execute a deed in the name of the state conveying to the Board of Trustees of Lake Township, and its successors and assigns or heirs and assigns, all of the state's right, title, and interest in specified state-owned real estate located in Wood County (Section 1(A)). 

The consideration for the conveyance is $40,000 (Section 1(B)).  The bill also requires the Board of Trustees of Lake Township to pay the costs of the conveyance (Section 1(C)).

The bill specifies standard procedures for the preparation, execution, and recording of a deed to the real estate upon the request of the Superintendent of the State Highway Patrol.  The net proceeds of the sale must be deposited in the state treasury to the credit of the State Highway Patrol's operating expense account.  (Section 1(D) and (E).)

The bill expires on January 4, 2009.
