BILL SUMMARY

· Designates a northbound part of State Route 59 within Cuyahoga Falls as the "Sergeant Bryan W. Large Memorial Highway" and the southbound part of the same highway as the "Sergeant Justin T. Walsh U.S. Marines Memorial Highway."

· Authorizes the Director of Transportation to erect suitable markers indicating the memorial names.

CONTENT AND OPERATION

The bill designates the northbound portion of State Route 59, located within Cuyahoga Falls between Howe Avenue and Broad Boulevard, as the "Sergeant Bryan W. Large Memorial Highway" (R.C. 5533.633) and designates the same southbound portion of that highway as the "Sergeant Justin T. Walsh Memorial Highway" (R.C. 5533.634).

The bill authorizes the Director of Transportation to erect suitable markers along the highways indicating the names.

COMMENT

Sergeant Large (U.S. Army 82nd Airborne) and Sergeant Walsh (U.S. Marines) both died of injuries suffered in Iraq.
