BILL SUMMARY

·         Requires the removal of snow or ice from special parking locations that are designated for persons with disabilities within 24 hours after the weather condition causing the snow or ice ceases, and requires violators to pay a fine between $250 and $500.

CONTENT AND OPERATION

Current law establishes requirements for special parking locations that are designated for persons with disabilities on public and private land.  The bill adds a requirement that snow or ice that obstructs access to those special parking locations be removed within 24 hours after the weather condition causing the snow or ice ceases.  Violators must be fined between $250 and $500.  (R.C. 3781.111(E), 3781.99(B), and 4511.69(H) and (J)(4).)
