BILL SUMMARY
· Removes a prohibition under which an insurer could not charge different automobile insurance rates based solely on the fact that the insured person lives within the limits of a municipal corporation.
CONTENT AND OPERATION
With respect to private passenger automobile insurance, current law prohibits an insurer from charging different premium rates to persons residing within the limits of a municipal corporation based solely on the location of the insured's residence within those limits. The bill removes that prohibition. (R.C. 3901.21.)
