Detailed Fiscal Analysis

The bill amends existing law to:  (1) permit each member currently holding office in the General Assembly to perform civil marriage ceremonies in Ohio, and (2) requires any fee the member collects for performing a civil marriage ceremony be donated directly to a foundation or other charitable organization that is exempt from federal income taxation under subsection 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The bill's provisions will have no direct fiscal effect on the state or any of its political subdivisions.
