Detailed Fiscal Analysis

The bill establishes the spotted salamander (Ambystoma maculatum) as the official amphibian of the state of Ohio, and the bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana) as the official frog of the state.  The bill requires no action by the state or local governments, and there would be no direct fiscal effect on these entities as a result of the bill.  However, the Division of Wildlife in the Department of Natural Resources may incur negligible costs to change publications and its web site to reflect the official status of the animals.
