An amendment adopted by the Senate committee provides further clarification that political subdivisions and boards of county commissioners may create and assist in the funding of health savings accounts for their officers and employees.

The amendment also clarifies that a health savings account program for officers or employees of a political subdivision may be part of the political subdivisions self-insurance program.
