In the provisions of the House-passed version of the bill that allow persons who receive medical treatment for injuries suffered as a result of specified accidents proximately caused by specified criminal offenses to receive the rights of a victim under the Victims Rights Law, expanded the provisions so that they also apply to persons who receive injuries as a result of a vehicle, streetcar, trackless trolley, aquatic device, or aircraft accident that is proximately caused by the offense of state OVUAC, the offense that prohibits the operation or physical control of any vessel underway, and the manipulation of any water skis, aquaplane, or similar device, while under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse, or both, or with a prohibited concentration of alcohol in the person's system, the offense that prohibits the operation of an aircraft while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, controlled substances, or other habit-forming drugs, or a violation of a municipal ordinance similar to any of those offenses and who receive medical treatment for the injuries.

Provided that the provisions of the House-passed version of the bill that allow persons who receive medical treatment for injuries suffered as a result of specified accidents proximately caused by specified criminal offenses to receive the rights of a victim under the Victims Rights Law, and the expansion described in the preceding dot point, apply if the person receives the injuries as a result of the specified conduct committed by a child, as well as if the person receives the injuries as a result of the specified conduct committed by an adult.
