Sub. S.B. 154

126th General Assembly

(H. Health)

Amendments adopted by the House committee modify the fees the Ohio State Medical Board may charge regarding physician assistant certificates and supervisory plans.  With the amendments, the bill does the following:

Fees for physician assistant certificates

            Authorizes the State Medical Board to charge the following fees regarding physician assistant certificates to practice:

(1)  A $200 application fee for a certificate to practice, instead of a $100 fee;

(2)  A $100 certificate renewal fee, instead of a $50 fee;

(3)  A $50 certificate reinstatement fee, instead of a $25 fee;

(4)  A $100 certificate restoration fee, instead of a $50 fee.

Fees for physician assistant supervisory plans

            Eliminates the State Medical Board's authority to charge a $75 fee for each application for approval of a physician assistant utilization plan (changed to a physician assistant supervisory plan by the bill).
