A RESOLUTION
Honoring Tobria Layson as the 2010 Ohio Youth of the Year.
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Tobria Layson on being named the 2010 Ohio Youth of the Year by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America; and |
| WHEREAS, Tobria Layson is truly deserving of high praise, for she has combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a shining example for the Toledo area. A senior at Roy C. Start High School, she has been involved with the Toledo Boys and Girls Club for many years, working as a part-time locker room attendant at the Homer Hanham Unit and serving as the president of Hanham's Keystone Club. Through her unfaltering dedication to service and achievement, she has certainly distinguished herself as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and |
| WHEREAS, Tobria Layson has willingly given of her time, energy, and abilities, and she has striven to better the world around her, and through her generous contributions, she has earned the respect and esteem of many. We are certain that in the years to come, she will continue to display the same unwavering commitment to excellence for which he has become known; and |
| WHEREAS, Tobria Layson has made positive choices, and she has shown a firm determination to attain her goals through her display of such characteristics as exceptional personal motivation and remarkable self-discipline. To her credit, she has demonstrated a true commitment to developing her knowledge and skills, and she is encouraged by this honor to continue in her quest for excellence; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Tobria Layson on her exemplary record of attainment and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tobria Layson. |
