Honoring Cedar Point on its One Hundred Fortieth season.
       WHEREAS,  The members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Cedar Point on the memorable occasion of its One Hundred Fortieth season, commemorated May 16, 2009; and

       WHEREAS,  Celebration of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to Cedar Point, for throughout the past one hundred forty years, this fine amusement park has achieved a praiseworthy record of service in the Sandusky area. Home to numerous rides and attractions, including the Magnum XL-200, which opened in 1989, Cedar Point has continued to exceed industry standards and to build upon its standard of superiority; and

       WHEREAS,  The success of Cedar Point is a justifiable source of pride and a remarkable reflection not only on the business itself but also on its astute management, on its hard-working employees, and on its committed volunteers. Due to their vision and initiative, this respected institution has earned the gratitude and appreciation of many satisfied visitors, and they are truly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  Over the years, Cedar Point has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are certain that as this worthy organization maintains its dedication to service, it will continue to prosper and will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the Senate of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Cedar Point on its One Hundred Fortieth season and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Cedar Point.
