A RESOLUTION | Honoring Meghan Vogel as a 2013 Division III State Indoor track and field champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Meghan Vogel on placing first in the 1600-meter run at the 2013 Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Division III State Indoor Track and Field Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Meghan Vogel has clearly demonstrated her talent and perseverance, as well as her mental and physical fortitude. As this year's Division III State Indoor Champion in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:14.76, her personal best, she has exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, determination, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior member of the West Liberty-Salem High School track and field team, Meghan Vogel has conscientiously applied herself to the quest for excellence as an athlete, training and practicing diligently in order to ensure peak conditioning. Time and again, she has risen to the occasion, maintaining her morale, composure, and good sportsmanship, and she has gained the respect of even her most determined rivals; and |
| WHEREAS, Track and field is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Meghan Vogel is to be commended for her commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining her athletic goals, she has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Meghan Vogel as the 1600-meter run champion at the 2013 Division III State Indoor Track and Field Meet and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Meghan Vogel. |
