The Senate Committee added amendments that do the following:

--Clarify that a member of the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), State Teacher's Retirement System (STRS), School Employees Retirement System (SERS), or State Highway Patrol Retirement System (SHPRS) may purchase service credit for active duty with the Reserves or Ohio National Guard other than active duty pursuant to an executive order issued by the President of the United States or an act of Congress, including training activities, by paying an amount equal to 100% of the additional liability resulting from the purchase. 

--Charges STRS, SERS, and SHPRS members "an amount equal to 100% of the additional liability," rather than "at least 100% of the additional liability," to purchase credit under the bill.  This makes the purchase of credit in those systems consistent with PERS.

--Permits a school board or chartered public school to grant a high school diploma to any woman who left high school to support her family or the war effort during World War II, the Korean Conflict, or the Vietnam Conflict.
