A BILL

To enact section 4506.091 of the Revised Code to require that commercial driver's license tests be given in English.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 4506.091 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:

Sec. 4506.091. To determine a person's ability to understand highway warnings or traffic signs or directions, any test or examination given to a person to obtain or retain a commercial driver's license or commercial driver's temporary instruction permit under this chapter shall be administered in the English language only, without the assistance of an interpreter.
