A BILL
To enact section 5.2236 of the Revised Code to
designate the Saturday before Thanksgiving as
"Adoption Day" and to declare an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 5.2236 of the Revised Code be enacted
to read as follows:
Sec. 5.2236. The Saturday immediately preceding Thanksgiving
day is designated as "adoption day."
Section 2. This act is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health, and safety. The reason for the necessity is that
immediate action is needed to allow the act to become effective
before Thanksgiving 2007. Therefore, this act shall go into
immediate effect.
