A BILL
To enact section 153.013 of the Revised Code to
require a building or structure erected or
constructed using
state capital moneys to adhere
to certain sustainability
standards.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 153.013 of the Revised Code be
enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 153.013. Whenever any building or structure is to be
erected or constructed using any
state capital moneys, including
moneys from the education facilities trust
fund, the building or
structure shall be certified as meeting at
least the silver
standard of the leadership in energy and
environmental design
green building rating system developed by the
United States green
building council.
