A BILL

To enact sections 6103.18 and 6117.35 of the Revised Code to require interest income from county water and sewer district assessments and interest on assessments to be used only for water and sewer district purposes and to prohibit counties from depositing such interest income in the county general fund.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That sections 6103.18 and 6117.35 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:

Sec. 6103.18. All interest income on moneys collected from assessments and from interest on assessments under Chapter 6103. of the Revised Code shall be applied to the purposes for which the assessments have been made. No interest income on such assessment and interest collections shall be deposited in the county general fund.
