A BILL
To enact section 187.14 of the Revised Code to
require that, if JobsOhio provides financial
assistance for the cleanup and remediation of
brownfields, at least 85% of the assistance must
be in the form of grants.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 187.14 of the Revised Code be enacted
to read as follows:
Sec. 187.14. If, in any year, JobsOhio provides financial
assistance for the cleanup or remediation of brownfields or for
the completion of assessments related thereto, at least
eighty-five per cent of all such assistance provided in that year
shall be in the form of grants.
As used in this division "assessment," "brownfield," and
"cleanup or remediation" have the same meanings as in section
122.65 of the Revised Code.
