To enact section 3345.35 of the Revised Code to require state institutions of higher education to donate any interest earned on the presale of athletic event tickets to food banks.

Section 1. That section 3345.35 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:

Sec. 3345.35. The board of trustees or managing authority of each state institution of higher education shall transfer any investment income earned on the presale of spectator admission tickets for any intercollegiate sporting event sold more than six weeks prior to the first game of the season for that sport to food banks in the state. The board of trustees or managing authority shall donate the funds on a per capita basis, based on the prior year's service numbers for each food bank, as determined by the chancellor of the Ohio board of regents in consultation with the Ohio association of foodbanks or any other statewide food bank organization the chancellor determines appropriate.

As used in this section, "state institution of higher education" has the same meaning as in section 3345.011 of the Revised Code.
