A BILL
To enact sections 3318.34 and 3318.341 of the Revised
Code to require the Ohio School Facilities
Commission to develop a procedure for awarding
information technology infrastructure grants to
public primary and secondary schools and school
districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That sections 3318.34 and 3318.341 of the Revised
Code be enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 3318.34. (A) Not later than July 1, 2014, the Ohio
school facilities commission shall develop a procedure for
awarding information technology infrastructure grants. All public
primary and secondary schools and school districts that are
eligible to receive assistance under this chapter shall be
eligible to apply for these grants.
(B) Grants awarded under this section shall be paid from the
school technology enhancement fund created under section 3318.341
of the Revised Code.
Sec. 3318.341. The school technology enhancement fund is
hereby created in the state treasury. The fund shall consist of
money appropriated for the purpose of funding information
technology infrastructure grants awarded under section 3318.34 of
the Revised Code.
