A BILL
To enact section 9.54 of the Revised Code to
establish language standards for signs containing
the international symbol of access.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 9.54 of the Revised Code be enacted
to read as follows:
Sec. 9.54. Whoever erects or replaces a sign containing the
international symbol of access shall use forms of the word
"accessible" rather than forms of the words "handicapped" or
"disabled" whenever words are included on the sign.
