Representatives Garland, Harris
Honoring the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team
as the 2009 Division II State Champion.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team on winning the 2009 Division II State Championship; and |

WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the Eagles worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they secured this year's Division II State Championship title and continued the tradition of winning the state championship for the third time; and |
| WHEREAS, All those associated with the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors, and their athletic prowess is reflected in their outstanding success. Indeed, the players have established themselves as winners, both in and out of competition, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these notable athletes and their extraordinary coach, Scott Hamilton, for a job well done. The maturity and experience the players have gained through participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team on its tremendous 2009 season and salute its members and coach as fine Ohioans; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the New Albany High School girls lacrosse team. |
