Honoring Taylor Wynne as a 2009 winner of the MLK Statewide Oratorical Contest.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:


       WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Taylor Wynne on placing first in the intermediate division at the Tenth Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Statewide Oratorical Contest; and

       WHEREAS, Taylor Wynne is deserving of praise for winning first place in the intermediate division at the 2009 MLK Statewide Oratorical Contest. Her impressive credentials reveal a number of admirable strengths, and her exceptional presentation surrounding the theme of "In His Words" clearly reflects her commitment to academic excellence. A member of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, she has displayed leadership ability, maturity, and a capacity for diligence that should be equal to even the most difficult tasks that lie ahead; and

       WHEREAS, Taylor Wynne has proven herself to be a mature young individual of exceptional intelligence and determination, and she has demonstrated the confidence and enthusiasm of a true competitor. The knowledge that she has gained through her participation in the MLK Statewide Oratorical Contest is certain to be of benefit to her as she continues to pursue her studies; and

        WHEREAS, Taylor Wynne's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her church, and her community. In many areas of endeavor, she has set a superb example for others to follow; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Taylor Wynne for outstanding achievement and salute her as a fine young Ohioan; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Taylor Wynne.
