A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library
on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library on its One Hundredth Anniversary; and |
| WHEREAS, Recognition of this occasion is a fitting tribute to the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library, for as a Carnegie Library, this fine institution has attained a praiseworthy record of service to the area. Since its inception, WEPL has fostered education, culture, and individual growth and achievement by providing a variety of innovative and beneficial programs and services; and |
| WHEREAS, Public libraries play an important role in today's society, serving as receptacles of shared knowledge, information, and ideas. They provide a means of enjoyment, self-advancement, and intellectual development for all individuals, and as repositories for the best of our nation's intellectual endeavors, they are vital to the preservation of our country's heritage, principles, and ideals; and |
| WHEREAS, As a focal point for many community activities and as a valuable instrument for community improvement, the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library has earned the respect and appreciation of countless patrons and has set an example of community service worthy of emulation. We are proud to note that it is through the efforts of institutions such as WEPL that our state has maintained its reputation as a friendly, productive, and pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library. |
