Honoring Glen Este High School Thespian Troupe 6512
as the recipient of the 2008 Abundant Harvest Award
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Glen Este High School Thespian Troupe 6512 on winning the 2008 Abundant Harvest Award; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of Glen Este High School Thespian Troupe 6512 have truly distinguished themselves as exceptional indivduals, and they are justly deserving of high praise. Throughout long hours of planning and preparation, these students coordinated a local food drive which outweighted their previous year's contributions by 3,032 pounds. Their tireless efforts have earned the number one spot in the nation for collecting the most pounds of food, gaining them the distinction of the Abundant Harvest Award; and |
| WHEREAS, Indeed, GEHS Thespian Troupe 6512 has set an example of distinction worthy of emulation. A talented group of young people, these outstanding students have demonstrated exemplary commitment, hard work, talent, and perseverance. The confidence and discipline the members have gained through their participation in this event will continue to benefit them throughout their lives; and |
| WHEREAS, Participation in extracurricular activities provides a unique opportunity for students to develop their creative skills and to enjoy a special camaraderie while learning the true value of preparation and cooperation. Over the years, GEHS Thespian Troupe 6512 has excelled in numerous endeavors, and all those who have been involved with the program are to be commended for its dedication to the Cincinnati community; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Glen Este High School Thespian Troupe 6512 on its tremendous success and salute its members as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Glen Este High School Thespian Troupe 6512. |
