A RESOLUTION
Honoring Nandini Srinivasan
as the 2009 Buckeye Girls State governor.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Nandini Srinivasan on being elected governor of Buckeye Girls State for 2009; and |
| WHEREAS, An intelligent, motivated, and personable young woman, Nandini Srinivasan has striven to develop her leadership skills, and consequently, she was selected as a delegate for the 2009 Buckeye Girls State, where she was elected as this year's governor by her peers. A student at Beavercreek High School, she has amply demonstrated her ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence and has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to achieve superior results; and |
| WHEREAS, Nandini Srinivasan's selection as a representative to, and election as governor of, Buckeye Girls State is evidence of the high esteem in which she is held by her peers and her community. By taking part in this simulation of state government, she has reached a better understanding of the many demands confronting those who occupy public office, and at the same time, the invaluable experience of engaging in the social and political activities offered at Girls State will assist her in preparing for her own important role in our challenging and complex society; and |
| WHEREAS, Through her conscientious efforts, Nandini Srinivasan has set an example worthy of emulation, and her accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her school, and her community. She has exhibited a sincere desire to do her best in all of her endeavors, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Nandini Srinivasan on her election as the 2009 Buckeye Girls State governor and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens for whom the future holds bright promise; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nandini Srinivasan. |
