A RESOLUTION
Honoring Aislinn McLaughlin
as a 2009 U. S. Girls Wrestling Association Ohio State Champion.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Aislinn McLaughlin on winning first place in the 65-pound weight class at the 2009 United States Girls Wrestling Association Ohio State Championships; and |
| WHEREAS, A fifth-grade student at Highland Central Elementary School, Aislinn McLaughlin has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently to attain ultimate proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, she won first place in the 65-pound weight class at this year's U.S. Girls Wrestling Association Ohio State Championships and third place in the 63-pound weight class at the national level; and |
| WHEREAS, Aislinn McLaughlin's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Aislinn McLaughlin on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in wrestling will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Aislinn McLaughlin on her attainments and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Aislinn McLaughlin. |
