A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Eastwood High School girls bowling team
as the 2009 Division I State Champion.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Eastwood High School girls bowling team on winning the 2009 Division I State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the Eastwood High School girls bowling team is an outstanding young athlete, successfully combining personal ability and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, members Brandi Roller, Emily Walston, Mallory Frits, Mikayla Young, Carrie Lorenzen, Jessica Heestand, Kelsey Waynick, and Peyton Himburg have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in bowling, and as a result, they won this year's Sandusky Bay Area Bowling Conference and Tournament titles, finished the season with an undefeated record of 17-0, and won the Division I State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments and leadership of the Eastwood High School girls bowling team, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on the members but also on their families, their coaches, Jay Young and Josh Jaworski, their school, and their community. To their credit, the coaches instilled in each member a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these fine athletes and their outstanding mentors for a job well done. The maturity and experience the Eagles have gained through participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Eastwood High School girls bowling team on its tremendous 2009 season and salute the players and coaches as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Eastwood High School girls bowling team. |
