A RESOLUTION
Honoring Morgan Dobbins
on winning the 2009 Division II State Championship in boys golf
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Morgan Dobbins as the 2009 Division II State Champion in boys golf; and |
| WHEREAS, A member of the Jackson High School boys golf team, Morgan Dobbins is deserving of recognition for his exemplary accomplishments in his sport. An exceptional athlete, he received All-Southeast Ohio Athletic League honors as its Most Valuable Player, was named Division I District Player of the Year, and shot a 147 to win the Division II State Championship this season, and his noteworthy record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and |
| WHEREAS, Through his participation in sports, Morgan Dobbins has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired countless individuals to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an example worthy of the highest praise; and |
| WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Morgan Dobbins has embraced these lessons, and we congratulate him as a talented athlete; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Morgan Dobbins as the 2009 Division II State Champion in boys golf and salute him as a fine young Ohioan; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Morgan Dobbins. |
