A RESOLUTION
Honoring My Linh Li and Kim My Li
as the 2009 Division II State Champions in girls doubles tennis.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate My Linh Li and Kim My Li on winning the 2009 Division II State Championship in girls doubles tennis; and |
| WHEREAS, Students at St. Francis DeSales High School, My Linh Li and Kim My Li have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional athletes. With admirable dedication, they have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in tennis, and as a result, they won this year's Division II State Doubles Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments and leadership of My Linh Li and Kim My Li, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on them but also on their family, their teammates, their coaches, their school, and their community. Their unwavering commitment to excellence has earned them this well-deserved distinction, and they are certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to My Linh Li and Kim My Li on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience they have gained through their participation in tennis will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend My Linh Li and Kim My Li as 2009 Division II State Champions and salute them as two of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit duly authenticated copies of this Resolution to My Linh Li and Kim My Li. |
