Honoring the Meredith Wagner
as the 2009 Division I State Girls Cross Country Champion
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Meredith Wagner on winning the 2009 Division I State Championship in girls cross country; and |
| WHEREAS, A senior at Sylvania Northview High School, Meredith Wagner has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in running, and as a result, she won this year's Division I State Championship title with a time of 18:03.90; and |

WHEREAS, Meredith Wagner's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Meredith Wagner on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in cross country will greaty aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Meredith Wagner as the 2009 Division I State Girls Cross Country Champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
