A RESOLUTION
Honoring Dreya Holmes
on being named one of Ohio's top two youth volunteers.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Dreya Holmes as one of Ohio's top youth volunteers for the 2010 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Dreya Holmes can be proud. An eighth-grade student at Edgewood Middle School, she successfully petitioned the city to renovate the run-down swimming pool in Knights Field Park into a "sprayground," and she has demonstrated the true ideals of humanitarian spirit. Indeed, she has been a role model and an inspiration to her peers; and |
| WHEREAS, Dreya Holmes' exemplary service to others will long stand as a hallmark worthy of emulation. It is through the unsurpassed efforts and unparalleled commitment of individuals such as she that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper and remains responsive to the needs of its citizens; and |

WHEREAS, Every opportunity to celebrate the lofty ideals, versatile talents, and boundless enthusiasm of our nation's youth is always welcome, and Dreya Holmes has ably displayed the wealth of kindness, courage, and industriousness that exist among her ranks. She is a model citizen, a striking reminder of the many ways in which our lives are enriched by the dedication and determination of our young adults; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Dreya Holmes on her outstanding service and applaud her as a fine citizen; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dreya Holmes. |
