Representatives Wachtmann, Celeste
Honoring James R. Winfree on his service
as executive director of the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to James R. Winfree on his retirement from the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio; and |
| WHEREAS, Diligent and painstaking in all his endeavors, James Winfree has achieved a noteworthy record of service with the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio by ably fulfilling his myriad responsibilities and distinguishing himself as an outstanding leader. Commencing his tenure as executive director in 2004, he has displayed sound judgment, a stellar work ethic, and valuable job skills, and under his leadership, the agency has flourished, proactively addressing demographic changes that threatened the long-term stability of SERS, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with advocacy groups, and strengthening the system's health care fund; and |
| WHEREAS, James Winfree has shown how very much a conscientious, industrious person can accomplish, and he can be proud that his unflagging dedication to the members of SERS has inspired many who know him to devote themselves similarly. A veteran of the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve, a former assistant Ohio Attorney General and representative from that office to the SERS Board, and a past employee of the law firm of Schottenstein, Zox, and Dunn, he is deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of conscientious people such as James Winfree that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, he has striven to serve the members of SERS to the best of his ability, and we applaud him on his fine efforts; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud James R. Winfree on his innumerable contributions to the School Employees Retirement System of Ohio and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to James R. Winfree. |
