Honoring Mena Keirns as the "Why I Say 'No' to Drugs" state champion.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:


       WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Mena Keirns on winning the "Why I Say 'No' to Drugs" contest for Ohio; and

       WHEREAS, A sixth-grade student at Trimble Middle School, Mena Keirns has striven to develop her capabilities and has amply demonstrated her ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence. An intelligent and motivated individual, she has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to produce superior results, and through her remarkable efforts, she has set an example worthy of emulation. She is certainly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Mena Keirns has striven to increase her knowledge and skills. Through her decisive leadership, she has distinguished herself as a conscientious and responsible young woman, and we are certain that she will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which she has become known; and

       WHEREAS, Mena Keirns' accomplishment is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teachers, her school, and her community. She has exhibited a sincere desire to do her best in all of her endeavors so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Mena Keirns for outstanding achievement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mena Keirns.
