A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Fairmont High School Real World Design team
on placing first at the 2010 Ohio Real World Design Challenge.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Fairmont High School Real World Design team on winning the 2010 Ohio Real World Design Challenge; and |
| WHEREAS, The Fairmont High School Real World Design team's exceptional performance at the competition is evidence of its members' wide range of knowledge, skills, and creativity. The performance of Brandon Wehner, Brian Catrine, and Bill Timmer reveals not only their outstanding potential but also that of our educational system; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of the Fairmont High School Real World Design team is a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection on the members, their teachers, their school, and the Kettering community. As a result of their efforts to design a t-tail that allows a plane to have less drag and more fuel efficiency, the students won the Ohio Real World Design Challenge, and they have certainly set an example worthy of emulation. We applaud them on their tremendous work; and |
| WHEREAS, By preparing themselves for this important competition, the members of the Fairmont High School Real World Design team have had the opportunity to express their individual abilities and to acquire knowledge and information that will be of great benefit to them throughout their lifetimes. Participation in a contest such as this is an excellent opportunity for youth to strive for achievement, and the students have performed admirably against their peers; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 128th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Fairmont High School Real World Design team for outstanding achievement and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Fairmont High School Real World Design team. |
